The 3DEXPERIENCE

Within 3DEXPERIENCE, it is possible to allow solid-based features to inherit the colours of the surface-based features used to create them. For example, if a pink surface is sewn onto a grey solid body, the part body can be set to be unaffected and remain grey. Alternatively, the part body can be set to inherit the colour of the surface and become pink.

The default behavior of 3DEXPERIENCE in this respect can be set within Preferences. If the tickbox is selected, the part body will inherit the color of the surface-based feature by default. If the tickbox is unselected, the part body will remain unaffected by the color of the surface-based feature.
